Oklahoma Executes Death Row Inmate for 1995 Murder

The State of Oklahoma has executed Jemaine Cannon, a death row prisoner who stabbed a Tulsa mother to death in 1995. Cannon had escaped prison when he committed the brutal killing. Despite maintaining his innocence for nearly three decades, Cannon showed no remorse and did not mention the victim in his final words. The execution went as planned, and the victim's daughter expressed relief that there are no more chances of him escaping prison. Another death row prisoner, Anthony Sanchez, is scheduled for execution in September.
