Paramedic shot in North Carolina ambulance incident.

A 23-year-old man in North Carolina has been charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon on an emergency person after he shot a paramedic who was responding to a call. The paramedic was trying to get a patient into an ambulance when the suspect slammed his vehicle into the front of the ambulance and started firing a weapon. The paramedic was taken to the hospital after being shot in the upper torso and arm, but is now stable. The suspect is being held at the Lenior County Jail.
