Pennridge School District Guidance Counselor Arrested for Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old Student

A guidance counselor at Pennridge South Middle School in Pennsylvania, Kelly Ann Schutte, has been charged with institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, and indecent assault of a person under 16 years old. The charges stem from an investigation that began after a 14-year-old boy told his parents about his romantic and sexual relationship with Schutte. The teen revealed that the relationship involved regular communication through school and social media apps, as well as sexual contact in multiple counties. The school district has placed Schutte on administrative leave and is cooperating with the investigation. Schutte has posted bail and her attorney has declined to comment.
