Pennsylvania Mom Charged with Murder of 11-Year-Old Son by Strangulation.

A Pennsylvania mother, Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, has been charged with murdering her 11-year-old son, Matthew Whitehead, by strangling him with a belt. The mother admitted to killing her son because she did not want him to grow up with the family's financial struggles. The father discovered the boy's body in the master bedroom, and the mother fled the scene and drove her SUV into the ocean in Cape May, New Jersey. The mother is currently being held in Cape May and will be extradited back to Montgomery County to be arraigned on the charges.
