Pennsylvania Officer Charged in Unarmed College Student’s Fatal Shooting

A Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, corporal, Sean Farrell, is charged with voluntary manslaughter for the Aug. 23 deadly shooting of 22-year-old Glenwood Pysher IV, who was unarmed when Farrell fired after ordering him to drop to the ground. Prosecutors say Farrell had less-lethal options (e.g., a Taser) and that his statements conflicted with video from his body camera. Farrell surrendered and is being held as the investigation continues. Pysher, a New Jersey college student, was celebrating a birthday at the time.
