Phoenix Police Involved in Fourth Fatal Shooting This Year

A man is dead after being shot by Phoenix police following an armed robbery at a pawn shop. The man and a woman took handguns from the store and fled, but when confronted by officers, the man refused to comply with commands and pointed a gun at them, prompting the officers to shoot. The man later died in the hospital, while the woman is in custody. The incident is under investigation as the seventh officer-involved shooting in the state this year.
