Police Officer Shot in Billings Standoff.

A Billings police officer was shot and wounded during a standoff with a woman suspect at a residence on Birch Lane. The standoff began on Saturday morning after shots were fired from the same residence at neighboring homes. Numerous officers from several agencies have surrounded the residence and evacuated nearby residences. The suspect, identified as a woman, continues to occasionally shoot from the house. The officer is being treated at the hospital and is in surgery. The situation is ongoing and updates are expected.
