Police solve 1991 Staten Island cold case with identification of murder victim.

The identity of a woman known as the "Scorpion Girl," whose body was found on Staten Island in 1991, has been revealed as Christine Belusko, a 30-year-old single mother who was beaten to death and strangled. Her daughter, Christa Belusko, who was 2 years old at the time of her mother's death, has not been seen since. Investigators are hoping that by providing photos of the mother and daughter, someone who knew the family may come forward with information to help solve the case. The police used forensic genealogy to identify Christine Belusko, and are still trying to determine who killed her and what happened to her daughter.
