Prosecutor confirms Sinzae Reed fired first in fatal Columbus shooting.

Krieg Allen Butler Sr., a Columbus man accused of shooting and killing a Black 13-year-old boy, claimed self-defense and said the boy fired first. Three witnesses confirmed Reed fired first, and one witness saw someone remove what they thought was a firearm from Reed's body after he collapsed. Butler was not charged with homicide but was charged with felony improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence. The presiding judge gave Butler a combined $105,000 bond on the two charges, a no-contact order, and barred him from possessing firearms throughout the case.
