Rash of Police Shootings and Injuries in St. Louis

One officer was shot and another was injured during a mental health assistance call outside an apartment complex in St. Louis. The subject, who was not compliant with his medication, fired a handgun and struck one officer in the shoulder. The suspect is now in custody and receiving treatment at a local hospital. The injured officers were sent to the hospital with various injuries and are in stable condition. St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones expressed her support for the injured officers and the SLMPD.
