Recent Arrests: Florida Woman in Court for Killing Neighbor, Man Arrested for Shooting 13-Year-Old at Walmart

A Florida woman, Susan Lorincz, appeared in court via video after being arrested for shooting and killing her neighbor, Ajike Owens, a mother of four, following a dispute with Owens' children. The state attorney requested that Lorincz be held with no bond, and the judge will hold off on the bond hearing until the state files a motion for pretrial detention. Lorincz was charged with first-degree manslaughter, culpable negligence, battery, and two counts of assault. Supporters of Owens claimed that Lorincz often directed racial slurs at Black children around the neighborhood and antagonized them to not play on the field near her home.
