Released Early from Prison, Alleged Portland Killer Previously Attempted to Choke Police K-9

Jesse Lee Calhoun, the person of interest in the recent string of four murders in the Portland area, had previous encounters with the law, including an incident where he allegedly tried to choke a police K-9. Calhoun had multiple clashes with law enforcement and was released early from prison under a law signed by former Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. He is now in custody after Gov. Tina Kotek received a request to revoke his clemency. Calhoun has not been charged in the deaths of the four women.
