"Rex Heuermann Charged with Fourth Murder in Gilgo Beach Serial Killings"

Rex Heuermann, who was previously charged as the prime suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings, has been indicted in connection with a fourth murder, that of Maureen Brainard-Barnes. Heuermann, 60, was first identified as a suspect in the case in 2022, and was previously charged in the killings of three other women whose bodies were found bound in a similar fashion on the Long Island oceanfront in 2010.
