Rioter Sentenced to 4 Years for Stealing Radio in Attack on D.C. Officer Fanone

Thomas Sibick, a participant in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, has been sentenced to over four years in prison for stealing the badge and radio of a Washington, D.C. police officer, Michael Fanone, who was assaulted during the riot. Sibick pleaded guilty to assaulting an officer and theft charges. Prosecutors had requested a 71-month sentence, but Sibick received a 50-month sentence and was ordered to pay over $7,500. Several other individuals involved in the attack on Fanone have also been convicted and sentenced.
