Rising Incidents of Child Shootings in St. Petersburg and Raleigh

A 2-year-old boy has died after being shot in a St. Petersburg home. The child was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but did not survive. Police are investigating the incident as an isolated, domestic incident and are still working to identify the shooter. A family member was driving the child to the hospital when they lost control of the car and crashed a few blocks away from the home. The driver is being questioned by detectives.
