Rising Teen Violence: Arrests Made in Brooklyn and Baltimore Mass Shootings

A 17-year-old teenager, who was among those injured in the July 2 mass shooting in Baltimore, has been ordered held without bail. Although not charged as the shooter, the teenager is believed to be involved in the incident and has been charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, assault weapon possession, reckless endangerment, and handgun in a vehicle. The arrest comes after the teenager was captured on cellphone video pulling out what appears to be a gun from a backpack. Two people died in the mass shooting, and three victims remain hospitalized. The City Council has scheduled a hearing about the incident, and a reward of up to $28,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and charges.
