A hit-and-run driver struck a scooter rider in Queens, sending them flying into a corner store. Surveillance footage captured the incident, showing the rider crashing into fruit stands and sparks flying as the scooter scraped against the pavement. The gray SUV fled the scene, while bystanders rushed to help the victim and call 911. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
