"South Carolina Beach Shooting Leaves 6 Injured During Senior Skip Day"

Six people were injured in a shooting at a beach near Charleston, South Carolina, during a “Senior Skip Day” event. Five of the injured individuals were teenagers between 15 and 16 years old, while the sixth was a woman in her mid-30s. Police have arrested a 16-year-old for possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful carry of a firearm and an 18-year-old for possession of a firearm but could not confirm whether either were involved in the shooting. Charleston County Sheriff Kristin Graziano called the event “unacceptable” and urged parents to have a serious conversation with their kids and report any information that could help get more guns off the street.
