Suspect Arrested in North Austin Homicide, 1 Dead

A man was shot and killed in north Austin early Saturday morning, leading to the arrest of Edwin Emilson Diaz, who has been charged with murder. According to a witness, Diaz and the victim were involved in a physical altercation before Diaz asked someone to bring him a gun. The witness saw Diaz point his arm towards the victim before hearing multiple gunshots. Diaz admitted to shooting the victim during a verbal argument and physical altercation. Diaz is currently in custody with a $1 million bond.
