Suspect Named in Horrific Murder of 11-Year-Old Girl in Texas

The Pasadena Police Department has identified an 18-year-old person of interest, Juan Carlos Garcia-Rodriguez, in connection with the strangulation of 11-year-old Maria Gonzalez. A key found at the crime scene led investigators to Garcia-Rodriguez's unit, where he had been staying with two other individuals. Garcia-Rodriguez, who is from Guatemala, has since disappeared, and police are unable to stop him from leaving the country as they do not have a warrant for his arrest. The investigation is ongoing, with DNA results pending to determine if the key matches Garcia-Rodriguez's DNA. The victim's body was found hidden under a bed, and she had also been sexually assaulted.
