Teacher's Arrest Exposes Disturbing Relationship with Middle School Student

A former middle school teacher in Maryland, Melissa Marie Curtis, has been arrested and charged with engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old student in 2015. The alleged abuse took place within the school, in Curtis' vehicle, and at various residences. Curtis provided the teenager with alcohol and marijuana and had sexual intercourse with him over 20 times. She is facing charges of sexual abuse of a minor and multiple counts of third and fourth-degree sexual offenses. Police suspect there may be additional victims. Curtis turned herself in and is awaiting a bond hearing.
