Teen Arrests and Bookbag Bans: Fallout from Violent Football Game Brawl

Five teenagers have been arrested and charged following a brawl that occurred after a football game between Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Walter Johnson high schools. One of the teens, a 16-year-old, has been charged as an adult with armed robbery and second-degree assault, while the others face charges of robbery and assault. The incident took place at the Bethesda Metro station, and a video of the brawl circulated on social media. Police were able to identify the suspects with the help of Montgomery County Public Schools leaders.
