Teen Charged as Adult in Omaha High School Rape Case Denied Bond

A 15-year-old boy, Jeremiah Thornton, accused of raping a 14-year-old Westside High School student in Omaha, Nebraska, during a school day, appeared in court and was charged as an adult. Prosecutors stated that Thornton admitted to the incident and acknowledged that the victim had said no. A co-defendant acted as a lookout during the assault. Thornton was ordered to be held without bond and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 12th.
