Democratic Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar was carjacked at gunpoint near his residence in Washington, D.C. Three to four armed assailants approached him, held guns to his head, and stole his car and phone. Cuellar was unharmed, and local law enforcement swiftly recovered his vehicle. Carjackings involving guns have been on the rise in Washington, with 750 reported cases, accounting for 75% of all carjackings in the city.
