Texas Gov. Abbott's Controversial Move to Pardon Protester's Killer.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on social media that he plans to pardon Daniel Perry, who was convicted of murder in the death of Garrett Foster during a Black Lives Matter protest in Austin. Conservative leaders have rallied behind Perry, claiming he acted in self-defense. However, Foster's mother and her civil attorney find it inappropriate that the two most powerful men in Texas would interfere in a murder trial that's still not over. Perry faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
