"Texas Rapper Charged with Kidnapping and Years-Long Torture of Woman in Houston Garage"

In Houston, Lee Carter, 52, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping for allegedly locking a woman in his garage, drugging, and sexually assaulting her for nearly five years. The victim, who was initially approached by Carter while pregnant and panhandling, managed to alert the police using Carter's computer. Despite an earlier escape attempt, she was recaptured and the window she used was boarded up. Authorities found her malnourished, and Carter was arrested following a welfare check at his residence.
