Texas Woman Murdered by Boyfriend in Retaliation for Abortion, Police Confirm

A man in Dallas fatally shot his girlfriend, Gabriella Gonzalez, after she returned from Colorado where she had gone to get an abortion. The man, Harold Thompson, had tried to put her in a chokehold before shooting her in the head. Thompson was arrested and charged with murder. Gonzalez's sister was at the scene and heard the shooting, and another witness saw Thompson try to choke Gonzalez. Thompson had previously been charged with assault of a family member, who accused him of choking her in March.
