Times Square Shoplifter Shoots Tourist, Injures Bystander

A shoplifter opened fire on a security guard in Times Square, hitting a Brazilian tourist in the leg, before fleeing and shooting at New York City police. The shooter and two other teenagers were stopped by security as they left a store, and one of them fired at the guard, hitting the tourist. The shooter escaped into a subway station, leaving a trail of clothes as he fled. The tourist was rushed to the hospital in stable condition, and a policeman was also treated. Additionally, a group of migrants were arrested for assaulting police officers and being connected to a crime spree targeting women in the city.
