"Tony Luke's Owners Sentenced for Tax Fraud in $8M Scheme"

Two owners of Tony Luke’s cheesesteak restaurant in Philadelphia were sentenced to 20 months in prison for a decade-long conspiracy to defraud the IRS by hiding over $8 million in cash receipts and committing employment tax fraud. They paid employees "off the books" in cash and directed their accountant to file false tax returns, causing a loss of $1,321,042 to the United States. They were also ordered to serve three years of supervised release.
