Tyre Nichols' Death Ruled Homicide Due to Blunt Force Trauma

The official autopsy report for Tyre Nichols, who died three days after being beaten by Memphis police officers during a traffic stop, revealed that he "died of brain injuries from blunt force trauma," according to the district attorney's office. Nichols' blood alcohol level was .049, which was "well less than the legal limit to drive." Seven officers have been fired, and five have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Nichols' death.
