Virginia Woman Strangled Days After Ending Deceptive Ex-Boyfriend Relationship
TL;DR
Katlyn Lyon Montgomery was murdered in October 2022, just days after she ended a relationship with Trenton Frye. Investigators initially focused on her roommate, but cellphone data placed Frye near her Bedford County, Virginia apartment; prosecutors describe a bench-and-balcony theory for how he could have entered unseen, while Frye’s defense argues there is no evidence he ever entered the apartment. Frye awaits trial.
