Walgreens Employee Shoots Pregnant Woman Accused of Shoplifting, Claims Self-Defense

A Walgreens employee in Nashville, Tennessee, shot a pregnant woman suspected of shoplifting cosmetics from the store's pharmacy. The employee, Mitarius Boyd, claims he fired in self-defense because he feared the woman and another woman she was with were armed. The victim underwent an emergency C-section, and both she and her baby remain hospitalized in critical condition. The Nashville District Attorney will determine whether Boyd will face charges.
