Blaze destroys former Doane Stuart School in Albany.

A major fire broke out at the old Doane Stuart building in Albany, New York, with flames ripping through the entire building and smoke visible for miles. No surrounding buildings were in danger, but there was an issue getting water to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and fire crews will remain at the scene overnight. The Doane Stuart school was a tenant of the property from 1975 until June of 2009 when they moved to their current campus in Rensselaer.
