Michigan's Public Universities Unite to Guarantee Admission for Graduates with 3.0 GPA

Ten public universities in Michigan have joined the Michigan Assured Admission Pact, which will admit in-state high school graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher by the fall of 2024. The goal is to boost enrollment and increase access to higher education. The participating universities aim to reduce uncertainty and anxiety in the college admissions process by implementing a uniform standard for admission. The program is expected to help students from middle-class families and under-resourced areas, as well as those in rural communities who may not have considered college as an option.
