'Rust' armorer hit with additional evidence tampering charge in fatal shooting case

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the weapons supervisor on the set of the film "Rust," is facing an additional felony count of tampering with evidence in connection with the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Gutierrez-Reed is accused of transferring narcotics "to another person with the intent to prevent the apprehension, prosecutions or conviction of herself." Gutierrez-Reed and Alec Baldwin were both charged with involuntary manslaughter in January, but charges against Baldwin were dropped in April. The charges against Gutierrez-Reed remain in place.
