Armed Man with AR-15 Sparks Controversy at School Bus Stop

J'Den McAdory, a 20-year-old man from Maryland, has been walking around his neighborhood with an AR-15-style rifle since February to protest recent state legislation regarding guns. Although he was not singling out school bus stops, his presence near them caused fear and anxiety for students and parents, leading to the delay of bus drop-offs. Carrying his rifle along neighborhood sidewalks is legal, even in a state with some of the toughest gun laws in the country. McAdory's conduct could lead to criminal charges including assault, stalking, harassment, disturbing the peace, and obstruction of school administration.
