Investigation underway after hate crime targets California church, burning 3 crosses

A California church with a predominantly Black congregation had three wooden crosses burned in what is being investigated as a hate crime. The pastor of Sylmar Christian Fellowship Church expressed shock and questioned why someone would commit such an act. The Los Angeles Fire Department is investigating the incident, and the community has been asked to provide any information. Despite the incident, the pastor reassured his congregation that "all is well" and encouraged forgiveness for the perpetrator. The church plans to replace the damaged cross and continue their mission.
