"Multiple States and Organizations Mobilize Aid for Hurricane Idalia Victims"

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is providing assistance to veterans and their families affected by Hurricane Idalia in Florida. Veterans can access resources and contact information for all affected VA medical centers in Florida through the FL Veteran Hurricane Resources website. The VA is urging veterans to reach out for help and is offering virtual urgent care services and activated the Emergency Prescription Refill Program for certain VA Health Care Systems. Veterans can obtain needed prescription refills at local retail pharmacies with an empty active VA prescription bottle or a new VA prescription from an authorized VA provider.
