Juneteenth 2023: Openings and Closures in Major Cities.

Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the liberation of enslaved people in Texas, will be observed on June 19 each year. Banks, post offices, DMVs, and the stock market will be closed, while schools and some businesses may be closed depending on their policies. The USPS will recognize Juneteenth as a holiday for employees starting in 2022. Although some national chains recognize Juneteenth as a company holiday, most retail locations will be open.
