Florida's Immigration Laws Invalidate Certain Out-of-State Driver's Licenses

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that specific out-of-state driver's licenses, including those from Hawaii, will not be recognized as valid within the state. The new law targets driver's licenses and permits from five states, including Hawaii, that issue Limited Purpose Licenses and Permits to undocumented migrant workers. These licenses have restrictions and cannot be used for voting or passing through TSA checkpoints. The Hawaii Department of Transportation states that the number of affected licenses is small, and travelers with regular Hawaii licenses or IDs should not be concerned when visiting Florida.
