Biden Administration Invests Billions in Community-Led Infrastructure Projects Nationwide

The Biden-Harris Administration has allocated over $2.2 billion from the RAISE discretionary grant program to fund 162 infrastructure projects across the United States. The grants, part of President Biden's Investing in America agenda, aim to support communities of all sizes, with half of the funding going to rural areas and the other half to urban areas. The projects include the construction of a pedestrian bridge and a multi-modal transit hub in Orangeburg, South Carolina, as well as bridge replacements, road improvements, and safety enhancements in various states. The grants prioritize areas of persistent poverty and historically disadvantaged communities, while also focusing on reducing emissions and creating good-paying jobs.
