Baltimore City has agreed to pay a $48 million settlement, the largest ever in Maryland, to three men who were wrongfully convicted as teenagers and spent 36 years in prison for a murder they did not commit. Alfred Chestnut, Ransom Watkins, and Andrew Stewart, known as the "Harlem Park Three," were exonerated in 2019 after evidence pointed to another gunman. The settlement will be split three ways, with each man receiving about $14.9 million, while their attorneys will receive around $3 million for legal fees.
