Resignations and Contempt Hearings Shake St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office

Two prosecutors have resigned from the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, which has been facing criticism and contempt hearings from judges. The prosecutors cited overwhelming caseloads and health challenges, and their resignations leave only two remaining in the Violent Crimes Unit. The Circuit Attorney's Office has responded by saying they are actively recruiting talented attorneys and making adjustments to workload to ensure all cases are covered.
