Montgomery Co. Officer Critically Injured in Suspected Drunk Driving Incident on I-270

A Montgomery County police officer is in critical condition after being struck by a suspected drunk driver on Interstate 270. The officer had deployed stop sticks to deflate the tires of the driver's vehicle when he was hit. Two people, including the driver, are in custody. The injured officer has been recognized for his efforts to prevent impaired driving in the past. Traffic in the area was temporarily closed for the medevac helicopter to land.
