Wisconsin Judge Greenlights Civil Case Against Fake Trump Electors

A Wisconsin judge has allowed a civil lawsuit to proceed against 10 fake electors for former President Donald Trump and two of his attorneys. The lawsuit, filed by two Democratic electors and a voter, seeks $2.4 million from the fake GOP electors and Trump's attorneys, alleging they were part of a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 presidential race. The fake elector plan was central to the federal indictment against Trump, and federal prosecutors say the scheme originated in Wisconsin. The case is scheduled to go to trial by jury in September 2024.
