A New York jury has begun deliberations in the defamation trial brought against Donald Trump by writer E Jean Carroll, who accused him of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s. The jury is deciding how much Mr Trump must pay in damages after he was found to have defamed Ms Carroll for comments he made about her in 2019.
