Controversial Laws and Gay Rights: A Florida Update.

Walt Disney World will host Out & Equal's 2023 Workplace Summit, the largest LGBTQ+ conference in the world, in September, as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to push against diversity and inclusion measures statewide. The event is expected to draw over 5,000 people to discuss gay and transgender inclusivity and equality in the workplace. Disney has worked with Out & Equal for years, and the company's feud with DeSantis began last year after it opposed the Parental Rights in Education law. DeSantis signed the law granting the state control of Disney's special land use, utilities, and public service district called Reedy Creek in February.
