Federal Judge Temporarily Halts Tennessee's Anti-Drag Law.

Drag queens in Tennessee protested against a new law that would make drag shows on public property illegal. The law, which bans "male or female impersonators" from performing "adult-oriented performances that are harmful to minors" anywhere it "could be viewed by a person who is not an adult," is the first of its kind in the nation. The drag queens fear that the vague language of the law could be used to arrest transgender Americans for simply being out in public. A federal judge blocked the law from going into effect at midnight on Saturday.
