Medford crackdown nets 15 arrests, 7 vehicles impounded during street takeovers

Suffolk County’s Street Takeover Task Force arrested 15 people (ages 18–23) and impounded seven vehicles after thwarting a planned street takeover in Medford and stopping others at sites across Islip, Patchogue and nearby roads; drivers used reckless driving, donuts and burnouts to close roads. This was the second crackdown in a month, following a prior sweep involving more than 200 ATVs, dirt bikes and motorcycles.
