Downtown South Bend blaze at Stadium Flats prompts evacuations

A massive fire at the Stadium Flats construction site in downtown South Bend forced evacuations of nearby Diamond View Apartments. Firefighters contained hotspots and prevented spread to the adjoining Cubs Performance Center and Four Winds Field; some siding damage and heat-related damage were noted on the performance center, but no injuries were reported.
